Reverence To The Holy Prophet
Q. Is the Messenger a human being or a supernatural being (an angel)?
A. The Messenger is Nur. (a heavenly creature, or a transcendent being) because the Quran says:
(He has sent both the Messenger and the Book of them at the same time)
One of his attributes in the Quran is this verse implies that:
(The Messenger is a 'basher' (human) like their likeness)
A man's likeness is his shadow. But what kind of a basher (human) he was who had no shadow. The way a man's likeness is his shadow, like the likeness of man the person of the Prophet has been called pure (fine or subtle). And just as a man's likeness is not the man himself, similarly the Messenger being a likeness cannot be called 'bashar' (or human).
